Youth Day has taken place around the diocese the last two years and now returns to the Visalia Convention Center. There have been a few other changes that have taken place in recent years. This exciting dayhas changed from a Conference to a Rally format. We have also added Eucharistic Adoration. There woll be 10+ vendors for youth and their chaperones to purchase cool swag including our official Youth Day T-Shirt.

Our speakers include Doug Tooke from ODB Ministries, Brenda Noriega from the Diocese of San Bernadino, and Sister Pia St. Romain of Sisters of the Sick Poor. Music will be provided by a collaboration of youth and adult musicians and singers from the diocese’s annual Music Camp held at Santa Teresita Youth Conference Center.

YD.A Friendship with Christ

SR. PIA ST. ROMAIN
This session will be a vocational talk about Sister Pia’s own spiritual journey and the gift of giving oneself to the Lord as a means of being close to Him and others.

YD. B “Practicing Catholicism after the Sacrament of Confirmation? I thought I was done!”

DOUG TOOKE
This session will explore how Christ and His Church call us to enter into discipleship with our church community and beyond. Doug Tooke will share how Confirmation isn’t a one and done event but the beginning of something amazing in your lives.

YD.C Pope Francis and Young People

BRENDA NORIEGA
This session will discuss Pope Francis’ hopes and prayers for you today. Brenda Noriega will talk about her recent experiences meeting Pope Francis and what the Church is doing to hear the voices of the young people here and around the world.
