Sr. Pia St. Romain is with the Sisters of the Sick Poor of Los Angeles. She has lived many places because her dad was in the Army, her parents divorced and her family has a habit of moving often. Los Angeles is her home since 2011. She graduated in May, 2019, from CalState Dominguez Hills in Carson, CA, with a BA in Philosophy and minor in Religious Studies. While earning her BA, she simultaneously studied part-time at St. John’s Seminary towards an MA in theology. She is continuing earning her MA. She coordinates a monthly contemplative gathering to hangout with the homeless in Hollywood called Stillness in the Streets, and helps at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood with their Urban Sanctuary where the back of the church is open for people experiencing homelessness to come to enjoy fellowship and can rest in the pews.
